Lloyd Conover, Saver of Many Lives
Lloyd H. Conover was born in Orange, New Jersey in 1923. He got his Bachelors Degree from Amherst College in 1947and his Doctorate from Rochester University in 1950. Lloyd Conover invented the first drug made by modifying a naturally produced antibiotic and that’s the beginning of Tetracycline. Tetracycline was one of the most used antibiotics for treating diseases, such as Lyme Disease and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.
Within three years of being invented Tetracycline became the most prescribed antibiotic ever. Conover actually wanted to be professor so he worked with a Harvard professor. But he ended up working at a drug company called Pfizer instead. He joined a team that was studying certain types of antibiotics to make Tetracycline.
Conover went into the Inventors Hall of Fame in 1992 for his inventions. I didn’t think that Lloyd Conover was going to be able to succeed in putting two drugs together to make an even stronger based drug. I am amazed that he was able to accomplish this. His work helped many people.

The Noyes Museum of Art
The Noyes Museum of Art is located in Southern New Jersey. It is on 733 Lilly Lake Road, in Oceanville, New Jersey. It is perfect for people who like fine folk arts, and animal decoys. Some names of the artworks there are Water Ways, Imaginary Forces, and Inspired Forces. The Noyes Museum has a section called the YAG (young at art gallery) where they display artwork from schools.
The Noyes Museum of Art was originally created in 2005. Their hours of operation switch every Sunday and Monday. On Sundays, they are open noon to 5 pm. On Mondays through Saturdays their hours of operation are 10 am to 4:30 pm. The Noyes Museum of Art is closed on most holidays.
When you’re at the Noyes Museum of Art you don’t have to enjoy it alone. You can take part in their guided group tours! Tours can run for forty five to sixty minutes, and you don’t have to go where your group doesn’t want to go. Prices vary if you’re a member or not a member. If you’re a member, you can go in for free. The Noyes Museum of Art is a wonderful museum. I hope you visit here soon!

Travel Back to Early Trenton and More!
Have you ever wondered what Trenton, New Jersey was like hundreds of years ago? Well, this is your article. In 1719, a town adopted the name “Trent-towne” after William Trent, one of it’s leading landowners who purchased much of the surrounding land from a family. The name was later shortened to “Trenton”.
During the American Revolution, the city was the site of George Washington’s first military victory. On December 26, 1776, Washington and his army, after crossing the icy Delaware River to Trenton, defeated the Hessian troops who were there. On a bridge is the slogan “Trenton Makes, the World Takes”. The city adopted the slogan in the 1920’s to represent Trenton’s leading role as a major manufacturing center for steel, rubber, wire, rope, linoleum, and ceramics.
There are many attractions in Trenton like the Grundy County Jewett Norris Library, Crowder State Park, Lincoln Park, Tilden Park, and Marigold’s Inn and Gift Shop. Trenton is home to the Trenton Thunder Eastern League AA minor league baseball team. In 1896, the first professional-basketball game was played between the Trenton basketball team and the Brooklyn YMCA. Trenton is a great place. I hope you come soon!
