CNJ Classroom Connection

Participating Teachers:  Class matches were out by email on January 28, 2010.  Contact Karen Hatcher at khatcher@celebratenj.org if you did not receive this information.

The CNJ Classroom Connection project is designed to help New Jersey students (grades 3-5) connect to one another as they learn about their home state.  Acknowledging the diversity of New Jersey’s students and the unique characteristics of life in each of its over 500 towns and cities, the CNJ Classroom Connection project uses letter writing and a “pen pal” approach to help students learn about each other and about life in the Garden State.

From February to May 2010, an initial pilot project will run matching a limited number of classes around New Jersey.  These will primarily be 4th grade classes that are also currently participating in the Celebrate NJ! 4th Grade program.
