Article submission begins Monday, January 25th

Teachers may begin submitting their articles starting on Monday, January 25th.  The deadline for submission is Friday, March 5, 2010.  Instructions for article submission may be downloaded here:  Instructions for article submission.

New Alice Paul Teacher Training Announced

Discovering Role Models:  NJ Women’s History in the Classroom, the second session of Hear Her Voice:  Teachers’ Institute, a three-partseries, takes place Thursday, Jan.  21, 4 – 6 p.m., at Paulsdale, a National Historic Landmark, 128 Hooton Rd., Mt. Laurel.

Curriculum includes techniques for integrating more women’s history, specifically New Jersey women’s history, into the classrooms and providing a range of female role models for their students.

Registration fee is $50, which includes curriculum materials and resources  Two continuing education units are available through the New Jersey Department of Education.

This year’s 4th Grade School Program has a new look and expanded resources for students and teachers.  We hope you find it easy to use and enjoyable.

Under the Assignments Tab, students will find the Webquest assignments for all six Jr. Editors.  Under Student Resources, they’ll find an expanded research resources to help them begin.

The Teacher Resources Tab, provides teachers with program guidelines and a number of project ideas and other tools to help implement the program in the classroom.
